The 2024 Alisonโs Allies fundraising showed how generous people can be! The $15,000 goal was not doubled - it was TRIPLED! $45,000 was raised to support the 2024 project and add some additional funds to past projects. Lots of people made it happen! KC CURRENT:
What an amazing partner! Kansas City Current is an American professional women's soccer team playing in Kansas City, Kansas. KC Current open a stadium this fall which is the first stadium specifically for women's professional sports!
Two individuals earned the KC Current tickets:
Larry Katzif - Larry, now retired, is a dedicated educator, administrator, and high school counselor. Larry is a longtime, faithful supporter of the Alisonโs Allies efforts! Larry has participated in Alison's Allies Walk for Breast Cancer nearly every year since 2010!
Dr. Antiqul Islam - Antiqul is one of the researchers focusing on metastatic breast cancer in Dr. Welch's lab. This was his 1st attendance at a KC Current sporting event, along with his daughter Aiesha and wife Sonia!

Sue Melena: Sue and her daughter Hannah have been long time supporters of Alison's Allies. Sue's mom and Hannah's grandmother passed away in October of 2023 from breast cancer.
Becky Vrbas: Becky, a skillful and dedicated educator & administrator in the Olathe School District has been an avid supporter of Alison's Allies AND of Alison when she was going through breast cancer. Becky's mom died from breast cancer.
